A Winter Wonderland!

What a beautiful night at this past weekend’s winter wonderland dinner party! And a HUGE SHOUTOUT to @saritastewartdecor for the amazing/better than I could have pictured it set up!! So excited to have been able to collaborate with my best friend and catch up! At our Winter Wonderland event, people from different walks of life, not knowing one another came and sat around this dinner table and shared stories, experiences, laughs, goofy icebreakers, smiles, advice, and great food.

Seeing people who gather around one table and being able to serve them was a pleasure. Hearing laughter and seeing smiles was embracing and beautiful. When I first started planning dinner parties it was with the intent to create a unique dining experience for customers, to make people feel loved and encouraged in this space, to serve others with a heart filled with nothing else. Hosting in an atmosphere that breaks down barriers and awkward conversation.

Once, you get into your twenties most of your close relationships have already been created. It seems as though many of us would rather not waste our time in conversations or relationships that are held together by small talk over the weather. Once your early twenties come and past it seems to get harder to make real relationships that aren’t based on networking or what the other person can do for you. So, to get away from small talk no one really cares for, and instead have conversation starters in a bowl to be chosen from, it allows everyone to feel open, honest, and real with others you may not know. Not really knowing everyone there and being able to take part in some of it was exactly what I hoped to happen. Seeing how the night unfolded and relationships formed was all enough to say I thought the night was successful and exciting to think about the next one.

There is something about sitting family-style around one table, with no televisions, no chattering conversations from others dining in the same restaurant where you don’t have to talk over other people. Where people are real and inviting. So all this to say, I am excited about the next one and I plan to have a dinner party once a month! Don’t miss out on the next one! We can’t wait to have you!

What would make a dinner party more inviting for you? Or what holds you back from attending one?
